It all started with the idea of building a brand that could break free from the mainstream fast-fashion paradigm. Guided by the idea of “eco-simplicity,” I’m on a quest to bring women back to a simpler and more ethical approach to getting dressed. Instead of promoting trend-based, fast-fashion, Bohemian Folk instead creates organic basics that are destined to be your go-to pieces, day in, day out; wardrobe staples that work together as a system, designed to be mixed, matched, and layered. No patterns. No prints. No fuss. No hassle. Just everyday essentials that embody an unmistakably earthy, and well, bohemian vibe. Made with love in Chicago, from the most sustainable fibers and dyes on the planet.
Born in the true spirit of DIY garage tinkering, I first set up shop in 2012 with nothing more than an old dye tub, a trusty sewing machine, and my tribe of four wild kiddos secretly running the whole show. Rooted proudly outside of the fashion industry, Bohemian Folk is dedicated to crafting ethical fashion for the legions of “back to basics” devotees across the planet who are committed to reclaiming simplicity in their lives, and in their closets.
