I guess you could call this post “Apple butter, Part II.” I recently talked about making apple butter, but I left out the best part: eating it. The photos should speak for themselves, but let me just say one thing before you look ahead. Apple butter is all the better if you can spread it on some homemade bread. And before you give me too much credit, allow me to let you in on a little secret: the homemade bread you’ll see below is courtesy of Trader Joe’s. Perhaps it’s a bit of an oxymoron… homemade apple butter, and well, Trader Joe’s bread out of a box. But hell, I don’t care. Can we all agree that fresh-baked bread out of a box is better than no fresh-baked at all? Amen. (And thank God for Trader Joe’s)
